Dustin Hazelett is about to be back on the big stage at UFC 108 more than a year since he last fought in the UFC, but without following a long and winding path.
Hazelett was penciled in to fight Ben Saunders at UFC 96 but was forced to withdraw due to an untimely injury. If that wasn’t enough disappointment, he was then set to return against Karo Parysian at UFC 106 only to have Parysian fold up and leave Hazelett hanging with no one to fight. Carlos Condit pulled out of UFC 108, which opened the door as Paul “Semtex” Daley needed a foil.
